W
See Wendy to plan orientations to interest your students in various book collections --including those related to your subject area -- and around co-planning/teaching parts of the inquiry and research process. See Sook to sign out textbooks and help with computers, chromebooks and student passwords. What's New
- Nine boxes of new books for fall: subject-specific non-fiction related to marine biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, philosophy, psychology, myths & urban legends and fiction in all major genres -- selected to further students' curiosity about topics in various curricular areas.
- Weekly reading themes: displayed adjacent to the oak Alumni bookshelf and posted on library web site as a 1 1/2 minute video. Please play at the beginning of Focus Block on Tuesdays if possible
- A new classics section -- classics from the 19th century and earlier, the 20th century, and children's?YA classics
- A re-organized non-fiction section that makes finding books on similar topics easier as well as shelf-reader labels which clearly identify the topic of books displayed on each non-fiction shelf
- A beautiful -- and valuable -- textile mural donated by Vic High Alumni Carole Sabiston, whose murals hang in Munro's Bookstore

Master copies for photocopying are posted on the bulletin board above the office/teacher prep room photocopier on the second floor; use these to top up your supply.
