Vic High Reads Battle of the Books - May 29, Block B
All classes are invited to attend our first Vic High Reads Battle of the Books Assembly since 2019!
This semester's Language Arts classes chose one longlisted contemporary title to present -- with
the goal of convincing Vic High students and a panel of community judges to vote for their book as Vic High's Must-Read Book of the Year.

Expect a wide range of creative presentations! In past years, the live assemblies were well-attended by classes across the curriculum, and the entire event proved to be an energetic, enjoyable education event in our school's culture. Cross-curricular attendance truly highlights how we can be united in a celebration of reading.
S Students do not need any prior knowledge of the titles; brief introductions will be provided for each book.
M Please sign up to attend using this link; you will receive programs and printed ballots for your students.

R Research Support
Don't forget to make good use of the library during the final stretch of our school year. It could be the ideal time to undertake a mini-reading/research project using books and getting students away from reliance on the internet and technology.
